There are a lot of things that you will need to do if you are trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. Firstly you are going to need weapons, food, water and a good plan. Your plan needs to be well thought out and offer you some direction to how you are going to escape the zombies and survive the apocalypse.
While you will more than likely have plenty of ideas on where you should go during azombie apocalypse you may have given little thought to where you should not go.
Amazingly, many of the instinctive places you may want to head during a zombie apocalypse are the exact places where you should avoid.
Today we look at The 10 Worst Places To Go During a Zombie Apocalypse.
Church.
During an apocalypse of any description people from all works of life suddenly seem to turn to a religion of some description. This means that people in their hundreds will flock to the local church to pray and also as a place of shelter. It is therefore understandable that when the zombie apocalypse breaks out you might find yourself tempted to head down to the local church to have a little pray.
Before you do just that you might want to reconsider as you might be in for a big surprise. People, when they are desperate do tend to head to church, so as you can imagine when a person finds that they have received a zombie bite they will head to the local church to pray. They will therefore probably end up dying in the church. Then you come along looking for an audience with the lord and what do you find? That is right a lot of zombies who are just dying to eat your brains.
Crowded City.
As we well know zombies at one point were humans so wherever happened to have high and dense populations of humans will very quickly have high and dense populations of zombies. Most of us probably will live in a populated area such as a city or town so we are going to want to evacuate as quickly as possible.
Even when you are travelling you will need to avoid entering any other city or town as even if looks quiet I can assure you that once you are inside the city limits zombies will suddenly begin to take notice and spring out of nowhere.
Always remember that where there once were people there are now zombies.
Supermarket.
A supermarket can, in some ways, have its benefits as a place to hide out during a zombie apocalypse. There are very few entrances or exits so you will need to blockade very few doors and there is also a good supply of food and hygiene products that are going to last you a good chunk of time while you try and wait out the zombie apocalypse.
There are negative sides with heading towards a supermarket during a zombie apocalypse. While there are plenty of supplies there is very little in the way of weapons that you could use to take out any zombies that do manage to get inside the building. Then there is the problem that when a zombie apocalypsefirst breaks out people will tend to loot the local supermarket which could mean there is very little remaining in the way of food. Then on top of that you may need to consider that other people might have got there before you meaning you might fight your way hundreds of zombies only to find that the building is occupied and locked up.
The Mall.
The shopping mall has been the location of choice to hide in several zombie movies so it stands to reason that you may well consider a shopping mall is the place to go. Like a supermarket the shopping mall is easily locked up to keep people and zombies out and will provide you with no need of entertainment to keep you busy and your mind from the chaos outside. The problem with the mall during a zombie apocalypse is that once you are inside then it is going to be pretty difficult to get out and escape.
The Roof.
It is a well-known fact that zombies cannot climb so the rooftop of a building is an obvious choice when trying to hide from zombies. The problem with heading to a rooftop during a zombie apocalypse is very similar to many other locations you might feel the urge to run to. Once you are on the rooftop your choices are very limited as there is nowhere else to go. The other problem is that while on the rooftop you will attract hundreds if not thousands of zombies to the building you are on top of. While the zombies cannot climb up to get you it is just a matter of time before you will run out of supplies and you have to climb down. By this time you should have a nice little crowd of the walking dead waiting for you.
A Gun Shop.
When you find out that a zombie apocalypse is in full swing you are naturally going to want to arm yourself. This means you will probably have the amazing idea to head down your friendly neighbourhood gun store and kit yourself out. After all during a zombie apocalypse everyone starts to loot so you can just walk straight in and walk straight out armed to the teeth. This may seem a good idea on the surface it may require a little more thought. If you have thought about raiding your local gun shop then you can only imagine how many others have decided to do the same. Even more alarming is that many of the people with the same idea as you may want to protect what they have found and that can result in a dangerous situation for you.
Neighbours or Relatives House.
Many people during a zombie apocalypse will head over to a relative’s house inhope of finding them safe and well. You should never do this during an apocalypse as if you have learned anything from zombie movies is that when you head over to a relative’s house all you will find is the zombie version of your relative.
Medical Research Centre.
A popular choice of place to go during a zombie apocalypse is a medical research centre of some description. I believe in the USA the most popular is the centre of disease control. After all during a zombie apocalypse the one place that is going to offer shelter and a cure for the outbreak is a medical research centre. It is probably true that a medical research centre is going to be the place that will develop a cure there are problems associated with this that may make you want to reconsider heading there. Firstly any medical research centre is going to be the destination for hundreds and thousands of other survivors. Places like this will have very strict protocols in the event of a disease outbreak and they will undoubtedly include total lockdown. That means nothing goes in and nothing comes out. This then means that anyone who tries to get in will fail and probably fall victim to any zombie in the area which will mean more zombies roaming around outside. Because of all of the zombies and the fact the protocol means you will not be allowed in you will be better off laying down in traffic.
A Tunnel.
With any zombie apocalypse you are probably going to have to travel in order for you to reach a safe place. The problem with travelling during such an apocalypse is that every other survivor will also be travelling and this equals very long and very big traffic jams that will never end. Your best bet is most likely to move around on foot.
Of course moving around on foot means that you are going to be an easier target and it also means that from time to time you are going to encounter obstacles such as rivers. AS we all know one method human beings have developed to cross such rivers is to dig a tunnel which during an apocalypse is going to be jammed with traffic, cold and very dark. These tunnels need to be avoided at all costs even if it means adding an extra 50 mile walk to your journey. Tunnels are a breeding ground for zombie and only offer two exits so once you are in there is probably no turning back.
House on a Hill.
Anyone who has ever seen the classic zombie movie, Night of the Living Dead will definitely tell you that you need to avoid a lonely house on a hill during azombie apocalypse even if it is the only shelter for miles around. You would be better off and safer just making a run for it. The problem with any house on a hill is that it is highly visible to every zombie who passes by. This means that zombies will approach the house from all directions which means once you are hiding in this house you are stuck in this house.
