Jennifer Aniston plays a character named, Kate. Kate is working on a career at Mercer Advertising, but is passed over for promotion because her boss thinks she is not stable enough since she is still single and has no real ties to the company. I mean what is that about?
So what does a sexy woman like Jennifer Aniston do in such a situation? That is right; she makes up a story that she is really engaged to a guy named Nick. Nick happens to be a random guy she just met days ago at her friend’s wedding.
In typical rom com style everything goes pretty good for Jennifer Aniston’s character, Kate. Her boss believes her story and she even gets the attention of a work colleague that she has always fancied. That wouldn’t make much of a movie so the plot decides to let events take a dramatic and humorous turn when Kate is forced to introduce her supposed fiancée to her boss and co-workers.
Why did anyone go watch it?
The promotion for this film is not something anyone will remember for ever or even remember at all for that matter. Basically this was a movie prompted largely because Jennifer Aniston was still starring in Friends at the time.
What we will add is that nothing drives did sales like sexy screen caps on the internet and this film had many. Let us start with the opening scene. At the time high heel knee high boots were all the fashion and very sexy. They still are if you ask me but that is another story. Anyhow, the opening scene of this movie is Jennifer Aniston about to have sex whilst wearing sexy high heel knee high boots. Straight away with that single scene probably sold thousands of DVDs just for the chance to hit the pause button.
If that is not enough then there is the scene where Jennifer Aniston is sat in her office with her feet up and swings around in her chair. Of course she is wearing high heels and showing off those legs that are considered to be the best in Hollywood.

The Bounty Hunter
What’s it about?
When I first heard of this movie it was through a magazine photo shoot of Jennifer Aniston wearing stockings and looking like she was on the run in the middle of the desert. It led me to believe that this might be the first Jennifer Aniston movie worth seeing and not just for the stockings but because it looked like it might have had a sort of Tarantino feel. I sat and thought to myself this could really be a cool and sexy film and Jennifer Aniston could finally be moving towards serious acting. The sort of surprise you got when Sharon Stone out acted Robert DeNiro in Casino.
Oh, how wrong can a person be! Upon further investigation it turned out to be just another rom com cashing in on Jennifer ‘Rachel’ Aniston.
Cutting a boring story short, a slob who is also a bounty hunter finds out that his next job is to find his ex-wife (Aniston) who is a reporter working on a murder cover-up. Soon after he finds her, they fight like cat and dog, nearly get it on, fight some more and find themselves running for their lives.
Why did anyone go watch it?
First off the movie was massively publicised. By publicised we mean Jennifer Aniston attended every premier for the movie with her co-star, Gerard Butler, and flirted like a teenager in love. She also managed to get on pretty much every television chat show known to man and talk about the ‘chemistry’ she has with Butler. I would not be surprised if the tabloid press made more money from the gossip about their relationship than the movie did on ticket sales.
Other than that the male population was happy to flock to the cinemas in the masses just so they could see Jennifer Aniston dressed like a secretary and run around in a tight top, figure hugging short skirt and high heels. It’s amazing what Jennifer Aniston showing a bit of leg will do for ticket sales. I believe that foot fetish forums have special sections with photos from the movie where you can see Jennifer Aniston’s feet.

First off there the movie studio threw in Adam Sandler who always seems to attract a ticket sale or two. I’m pretty sure everyone keeps hoping to see a return to form like he delivered in his earlier movies. That’s pretty much it as far as we can see.
