Man Spends 16 Year and 6 Million Matchsticks Making Model Monastery

When it comes to things that we as geeks do there is no denying that our biggest assets are commitment to getting a job done correctly and our attention to detail.

Bulgarian artist, Palmen Ignatov, has spent 16 years of his life building a model of the Rila Monastery using nothing but 6 million match sticks. It seems to us that he did not put much thought in to the potential fire hazard that comes along with 6 million matchsticks.

The matchstick model of the Rila Monastery is currently on display at National Archaeological Museum in Bulgaria.
