How to Use iPhone Headphone to Take a Photo

There is no denying that with Apple’s iOS 5 there came a lot of nice new features that were all nicely integrated into the operating system. Some of the new features are so well integrated you might not even know they exist.

One of the new features that has been introduced with the new iOS5 operating system for iPhone is the ability to take a photo using the + volume button to activate the camera’s shutter.

You may already know this but you may not be aware that you can actually use the + volume button on the Apple iPhone headphones to activate the shutter and take a photo.

This is really useful if you are wanting to take a really steady shot free from any movement or blur. You can place your iPhone on a tripod and use the headphones to take the photo.

To take a photo on the iPhone using your headphones it is a simple case of opening the standard camera app that comes with your iPhone and connecting your headphones to the iPhone. Once you have the iPhone’s camera pointing where you wish to take the photo you press the + volume button on the headphones. The iPhone’s camera will take the photo and that is the job done.

While this works with the official headphones that Apple supply with every iPhone there are various other headphones (including some bluetooth headphones) that will also allow you to take photos.
