She visits a part of the town, where she learns about the legend of the Candyman, a one-armed man who appears when you say his name five times, in front of a mirror. When she ignores their warnings and begins her investigation in the places that he is rumoured to appear, a series of horrible murders begins. Could the legend be true?

The scare and fright factor:- There are plenty of jumps in the first half of this movie although the second half seems to, for some bizarre reason, seem to concentrate more on the idea a man could be made out of bees.

The spooky factor:- Not really spooky although it is a little eerie whenever you see a character saying the name candyman to the mirror five times.

The Halloween factor:- Probably an ideal choice of Halloween movie to watchas a couple. The first half is enough to make you jump but the second half will possibly lose your interest. We’re guessing if you watch this as a couple you could possibly end up having to make your own entertainment.

5 – 28 Days Later

28 days later is a very clever movie that throws a modern day feel to the zombie niche of horror movies. When animal rights activists accidentally release the rage virus in to the population it devastates and infects everyone. The only person to survive manages to do so as he is in a coma while the virus is in full swing. When he awakes in the abandoned hospital he initially believes that everyone in the country is dead. That is until he meets the infected.

The scare and fright factor:- 28 days later does not give many jumps but it does genuinely scare the viewer. The zombies in this zombie movie are anything but slow and docile.

The spooky factor:- Not really designed to spook. 28 days later works on the principle and idea that there is nowhere to run and nowhere that you will be safe.

The Halloween factor:- Not your traditional type of horror movie or zombie movie. It does a good job of combining moderate gore with fear and keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat all the way through. For a horror movie to watch on Halloween you certainly could do worse and this is certainly a horror movie that will keep you interested all the way through.

The sexy factor:- Like many zombie movies this one is no exception and is lacking on sex appeal. Hardly surprising when you consider most of the characters in this horror movie are spewing blood out of everywhere.

The spooky factor:- Not as spooky as some movies but it does spook enough for many peoples liking.
