Extra marital affair are not uncommon and certainly nothing new. In fact it is fair to say that since the beginning of time there have been people who have cheated on their partner.
In recent years there has been no end to the number of celebrities who have been caught with their pants down so to speak. People like Hugh Grant and Tiger Woods were both caught having an affair. Even politicians like Bill Clinton and Arnold Schwarzenegger have been found cheating on their wives. Here are the world’s most famous mistresses.
Marilyn Monroe
The world’s greatest sex symbol, Marilyn Monroe starts our list of the top 10 mistresses and comes in at number 10. Some people still actually speculate to whether or not Marilyn Monroe was actually a mistress while others swear by it and conspiracy theorists everywhere still believe that she was murdered for knowing too much about John F Kennedy and his death. While deciding if she was a mistress or not just consider that when she visited JFK at Palm Springs, the day after singing happy birthday, Mr President, he made sure that his wife was not in attendance and he even made sure he brought this up in his initial conversation with her. It does not take much sense to speculate what actually went on in Palm Springs.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall
Most people, myself included, will never even begin to understand why Prince Charles decided to have an affair with Camilla when he was married, therefore having sex with a hot woman such as Princess Diana. There really is no comparison. Camilla is far from attractive or glamorous whereas Diana was hot property and a sex symbol with a stunning figure, sexy long legs and a fashion icon. Maybe Prince Charles was just trying to be like his great grandfather or his great great grandfather by having an affair or maybe Camilla was dynamite between the sheets. The answer is anyone’s guess.
Anne Boleyn
Anne Boleyn was the mistress of Henry VIII and the reason that England is no longer Roman Catholic. We all know the tales of Henry VIII and his many wives. When Henry VIII wanted to divorce his first wife on the grounds that she could not provide him with a male heir. The pope of the time refused Henry VIII the right to divorce Catherine of Aragon and marry his mistress, Anne Boleyn. Not to be beat by the pope and is power Henry VIII went about removing the pope’s power in England and had his marriage annulled so he was free to marry his mistress, Anne Boleyn. Not that this was of much benefit to Anne Boleyn as Henry VIII decided to have her beheaded for treason.
Gennifer Flowers
Remember when Bill Clinton had to admit he had been having an affair with Monica Lewinski? Well, it was not the only time that President Bill Clinton had an affair and lied about it. Gennifer Flowers also claimed to have an affair with the president, which he denied of course. That was until 60 minutes exposed the whole affair and he was, once again, forced to admit to his affair with Gennfier Flowers.
Jayne Mansfield
Sticking on the subject of presidents having affairs we move back to John F Kennedy. Everyone knows, and we have already looked at, JFK’s affair with Marilyn Monroe but he also had an affair with Jayne Mansfield.
Anne Lundquist
Anne Lundquist was the mistress of Allan Shackleford. That was until Shackleford’s wife found out and sued Anne Lundquist for pursuing her husband. Anne Lundquist was ordered by a court to pay $9 million dollars for damages and Allan Shackleford is currently paying $5000 a month in alimony. What Allan Shackleford and Anne Lundquist failed to take into consideration is that in 6 states in the USA have active Alienation of Affection statutes.

There are, no doubt, a lot of men who would not object to the idea of having an affair with an Olympic gymnast and Vladimir Putin is no different. He is the guy who is the former president of Russia and current prime minister. The rumour is that Putin cheated on his wife with the 28 year old gymnast, Alina Kabaeva. It is also rumoured that the two married in secret in 2009. We all know the Russians are a secretive bunch so it is all more than possible that these rumours are true.
Soon-Yi Previn
Soon-Yi Previn is Mia Farrow’s daughter and Mia Farrow was Woody Allen’s common law wife. It is said that Woody Allen was having an affair with his step daughter while he was still in a relationship with Mia Farrow and this looks likely since the pair were dating right after he broke up with Mia Farrow. At the time Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn married she was 22 and he was 56.
Ashley Dupré
Democratic New York Governor Elliot Spitzer cheated on his pregnant wife with a prostitute. The prostitute turned out to be 23 year old Ashley Dupré. Ashley Dupré now works as a sex columnist for the New York Post and thinks she is a singer.
Catherine the Great
The Russian Empress pretty much used men as her own personal play things and was the mistress of many men and that is why she roars in at number 1 on our list of the top 10 mistresses. When her husband, Peter the great was off having his numerous affairs, Catherine the Great would go on the lookout for men she could have sex with and hope they would impregnate her.
